Orange River Fluorite Specimens (Riemvasmaak)

These are from a new find near Riemvasmaak on the Orange River in South Africa. The land is owned by tribal people and, although only a few pieces of fluorite have been brought out, the indications are that this is going to be a great location!

When I heard that they had found a pocket of fluorite covered with druzi amethyst - I was there like a shot and bought it all! On the 22nd and 23rd December, we drove nearly 2000 miles there and back, but it was worth it - as the magnificent specimens on this page prove!
